A recipe you will LOVE!
We wanted to share our recipe for Chocolate Peppermint Pie with you. It is one of my all time favorites!
2/3 cup of butter
1 cup of sugar
2 ounces of unsweetened chocolate (melted and cooled)
1/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate pieces or chips (melted and cooled)
1 chilled graham cracker crust
1 cup of whipped cream
1/2 cup of crushed peppermints (a ziploc bag and a rolling pin works great for this)
1) Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy (a good 25 – 30 minutes usually)
2) Add eggs (one at a time) beating after each addition.
3) Add cooled chocolate.
4) Pour into cooled shell, and top with whipped cream
5) Sprinkle crushed peppermint candy over top of pie and refrigerate a few hours (preferably overnight) before serving.
